Open DOHR Program

In these tough economic times getting a job has become increasingly difficult.  However, there are ways to improve your chances of employment and develop your skills and abilities while you’re unemployed.  The unemployment period can be a great time to take a class, set goals and develop the skills that will lead to success.

For the last 24 years, Open DOHR has served as a vital link towards employment in the Greater Meriden community. Open DOHR continues to empower individuals through employment, training, education and case management.  Courses are offered free of charge and prepare students for competitive jobs in high demand fields.

As the new year begins, Open DOHR is recruiting youth ages 18-21 for Certified Nurse’s Assistant and Medical Office Skills classes.  Open DOHR is also recruiting English as a Second Language (ESL) students who are interested in improving their English Literacy skills. Open DOHR is located at 169 Colony St. in Meriden. For questions, inquiries or to make an appointment, please call Michael Buccilli at (203) 235-9297 x130.
