Sexual Assault: What Everyone Should Know
Provide parents and professionals with information about sexual violence and available community resources. Topics that will be discussed include: Sexual Assault, Sexual Abuse and/or Sexual Harassment, Signs of Possible Abuse or Harassment, Tips for Risk Reduction, Mandated Reporting, Resources and Getting Involved in Sexual Violence Prevention
Fostering Resiliency in High Risk Youth
A basic understanding of Resiliency Theory, Risk Factors and Stressors that correlate to youth considered High Risk. Participants will gain a basic knowledge of Protective Factors, which can work to mitigate the effects of Risk Factors and Stressors. Lastly, participants will gain knowledge and skills to enhance the development and impact of Protective Factors.
Sexual Harassment Training For Professionals
Teaches school administrators and faculty of their legal obligations per Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and new bullying laws. Helps them identify and address sexual harassment and explores ways to decrease incidents of harassment within the school.
Keeping Our Kids Safe: Talking About Gender, Sex, and Sexual Violence
Helps parents begin the process of exploring the long-term impact of gender-role socialization, both in families and by society, and the ultimate impact on sexual violence.
