tudents who attend the Nathan Hale Before and After School Program will participate in lots of exciting activities!


The Before School Program is a time for kids to prepare for their day! See our morning schedule below.

Before School Schedule

6:45-7:30 a.m.             Table Games

7:30-8:00 a.m.             Gym/Computer Lab

8:00 a.m.                      Breakfast

8:00-8:30 a.m.              Free Play

8:30-8:45 a.m.             Clean-up/Group Time

8:45 a.m.                      Dismissal

The After School Program begins each afternoon, Monday-Thursday, with a 40 minute homework period, where Staff assist students in age appropriate homework groups.  For those students who may need extra help, a homework tutor is available. Students who do not have homework can read or do a quiet activity. Daily snack is provided by the school, and is a time for everyone to come together and chat about his or her day. Enrichment activities range from outreach programs by the CT Science Center, Mad Science, Arts4Learning, Eli Whitney Museum and many, many more, to activities prepared by the staff, that follow specific curriculum units.
