Medical Office Assistant Salary Information:

Average starting wage               $12/hr

Salary range                             $10/hr-$20/hr

(Individual experience will greatly impact the earnings of a Medical Office Assistant.)

Description:

This 150 hour training program is offered in conjunction with Middlesex Community College.  Graduates must complete 40 hours of computer training, 40 hours of medical terminology, 30 hours of customer service and 25 hours of employment readiness workshops.

In addition to course instruction, students attend regular one-on-one appointments with Open DOHR Employment Specialists. Weekly one-on-one appointments assist clients with managing work and family responsibilities while preparing for full time employment in the healthcare setting.
